What is the LanguageCert Exam?
LanguageCert is an international English test that checks your Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking. The test has two sections:- Written Component: Listening, Reading, Writing

Reading
- IELTS: 3 long passages, 40 questions in 60 minutes.
- LanguageCert: 4 shorter parts, 30 questions in 50 minutes. Each part checks skills such as lexical resources, skimming, scanning, overall comprehension, and so on. Question types are limited to MCQs, matching information, and gap-filling.
Writing
- IELTS: 2 tasks to be completed in 60 minutes.
- LanguageCert: 2 tasks in 50 minutes. Task 1 provides bullet points to guide your response, and Task 2 is a straightforward essay (agree/disagree or discuss both sides) that must be typed.
Speaking
- IELTS: 3 parts in 11–14 minutes.
- LanguageCert: 4 parts in 14 minutes total. The 4 parts are:
- Personal Introduction
- Role play with 2 questions
- Read a short text aloud, then answer questions to assess pronunciation, intonation, and comprehension
- Talk for 2 minutes on a visual prompt, with 1 minute of preparation time where note-taking is allowed
