DHA License

DHA (Dubai Health Authority)license is a requirement for a healthcare professional to work in Dubai. This license is issued by Dubai Regulation Department (HRD).

If a professional in the healthcare industry wants to obtain a DHA license, he/she must apply for it and pass the tests and assessments.

General Requirements to obtain DHA license:

The ultimate purpose of the DHA license is to ensure that the people of Dubai are getting high-standard and authorized healthcare services. It is obligatory for healthcare professionals to have it if they want to keep clinical practicing. This license is required by physicians, dentists, nurses/midwives, and all allied health professionals. It requires you to submit important documents like educational qualifications, experience certificates, a copy of your passport, and a recent passport-sized photo. You need to submit your application and book your exam date at your convenient date and location.

 

EXAM REQUIREMENTS FOR REGISTERED NURSE

Documents Required for DHA Registered Nurse License Exam Application are as below:

• Updated CV
• Passport (Photo Identification)
• MRP Size Photo in white background
• School Leaving Certificate (SLC) / 10th Certificate  

For: PCL / Diploma Nurses with Bachelor in Nursing (BN)

• Proficiency Certificate in Nursing (Certificate + Mark sheet)
• Bachelor in Nursing (BN) – (Certificate + Mark sheet)
• Nursing Council Registration Certificate (Front & Back Copy)
• Good Standing Certificate from the Nursing Council
• 2 years of work experience as Staff Nurse or Registered Nurse after Bachelor’s Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Certificate

For: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc)

• Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Certificate + Mark sheet)
• Nursing Council Registration Certificate (Front & Back Copy)
• Good Standing Certificate from the Nursing Council
• 2 years of work experience as Staff Nurse or Registered Nurse after Bachelor’s Degree
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Certificate

 

How to be a nurse in Dubai, i.e., DHA registered nurse, Registered midwife, Assistant nurse and Assistant midwife.

 

After signing up with DHA website,

• Check for eligibility.
• Once you are eligible you can open your application and start process.

 

You will get a unique identification number. With this unique identification number, you can apply for data flow and DHA CBT exam.

 

The procedure includes 3 steps.

1.     DATA FLOW VERIFICATION OF YOUR DOCUMENTS:

2.     CBT ASSESSMENT (EXAM)

3.     SUBMISSION

 

DATA FLOW VERIFICATION OF YOUR DOCUMENTS:

  Data flow or PSV (primary source verification). 

 Data flow means verifying your documents from its source.

 You must submit your education, license and experience for data flow.

 Data flow team in your country will visit the institution, or they may mail or they make a call to the institute.

 The correspondent authority has to make a positive remark on your documents which you submitted for verification.

 

The Documents required for data flow verification

 

1.     Degree/Diploma certificate/post graduate certificate

If you have (Don’t submit your Provisional Degree Certificate-Provisional is valid for 6 months until you get your convocation certificate.

 

If you have more than 1 educational document to be verified, additional document charges will be calculated).

 

2.     Mark List / Transcript

If you don't have mark list from university, then you can submit the transcript.

Transcript is taking from the college, principal should sealed and signed on it, mentioning all year details of the subjects, mark list etc.

 

3.     License for DHA

License you can submit your valid home country license.

Initial license copy and renewed copy also.

If your license is expired, then you have to renew your license and then apply for verification.

If you worked in another country, you can submit license from last working country also.

 

4.     Experience certificate

Minimum of 2 years’ experience with minimum gap within 2 years.

Always better to have experience with one employer for 2 years.

Don't try to make a fake document.

Always get experience certificate from HR(Human resource ) office or from Medical director if your institution don't have HR department.

some applicants are submitting the experience certificate from nursing superintendent/nursing director.

Keep in mind to submit HR document.

 

 

Process of Data flow:

·         Signup DHA Data flow account by using your mail id and unique identification number

·         Upload signed letter of authorization

·         Create a new case and select nursing

·         Start application

·         Upload all details of your Education, License, and Employment details

·         Normal charges for data flow is about 1000 AED.

·         If you have any additional document 310 AED will be extra.

·         Upload all documents. Care must be taken to give exact information. If you ignore, then your outcome can be negative.

·         Do payment

 

 

2. CBT (COMPUTER BASED TEST) Assessment (EXAM):

 

·         Go to pro metric website

·         generate eligibility

·         schedule exam

·         Do payment

·         Exam result will be published within 1 -5 days

3.SUBMISSION FOR ELIGIBILITY LETTER:

 

Those who completed both your data flow and your exam can apply now for eligibility letter.

At this stage you have to submit following documents.

 

1.     Good standing certificate form nursing council where you worked last

2.     Basic life support

3.     Photograph

4.     Passport

5.     Higher secondary certificate

   6.  Resume
